We offer a wide range of services to staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders. The dedicated staff provide curricular and instructional leadership, and support services inclusive to The North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Reading and Mathematics and the Essential Standards, Title I, assessment, English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), etc.

Ongoing training and consultation with curriculum and instruction, and supporting school-based Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are key elements of collaboration between schools and the department. We utilize lead content area teachers from each school, an instructional coach, and the ACS frameworks to support staff and positively affect student outcomes.

We are committed to supporting the best possible educational experience for every child enrolled in our five elementary schools based on the requirements set forth by the state of North Carolina, the Asheville City School Board, and the ongoing needs of our children.
