Asheville City Schools is committed to ensuring that all students have access to nourishing meals so they can learn, grow, and thrive. Which is why we are excited to announce that we will providing free breakfast and lunches to all students during the 2025-2026 school year. Through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, and in collaboration with Chartwells K-12, all students enrolled in ACS under the age of 18 are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school every day, at no cost.

This universal meal program aims to combat childhood hunger, eliminate the stigma associated with free and reduced-price meal programs, and ensure that every students has access to nutritious food so they can thrive academically.
