  • Lucy S. Herring Parent Team

    The goal of the Herring Parent Team is to support and advocate for the success of our school through building a supportive community, providing needed resources, and fostering a positive school environment.

    We are a 501c3 non-profit; all of our funding comes from donations. We host our biggest fundraiser, Boosterthon, every March, which brings in the majority of our income. In addition, we receive some financial support from GoLocal card sales and PayPal donations. 

    All parents and guardians are welcome to be involved in the Parent Team. There is no formal membership enrollment or dues. All family members are invited to attend events and meetings, and to participate in activities. Parent Team meetings are held monthly and our meeting schedule can be found on our website.

     Here are some of the ways we support Lucy S. Herring:

    • Support the Lucy S. Herring FEAST Garden Coordinator

    • Funding for school activities such as Ecology Week, teacher stipends, mini grants, 

    • Host community events such as Kickball Kickoff, and help with Fall Garden Party, Hispanic Heritage Night, Talent Show and more

    • Raise funds for various programs, support students and families in need, 

    • Staff appreciation through meals, treats, and events.
