Mission: The mission of the Enrollment Office is to ensure students, parents, and families equitable access to the enrollment process within the Asheville City Schools District. As a district where school choice is available at all grade levels, we strive to assign students to their school of choice while ensuring compliance with the Federal desegregation order and Asheville City Board of Education Enrollment policies.
Open Enrollment begins on December 1st and runs until February 27th.
Notice: The Enrollment Office is currently processing a high volume of applications from the open enrollment period. If you applied during this window, you will be notified of your school assignment on March 30th. If you applied after the February 27th deadline, you will receive an update within three weeks. APPLICATIONS MUST CONTAIN ALL REQUIRED ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTS AS STATED ON THE APPLICATION IN ORDER TO BE PROCESSED AND TO RECEIVE A SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUT OF DISTRICT APPLICANTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THEIR HOME ADDRESS AND ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ANNUAL TUITION AMOUNT AND BE RELEASED FROM THE HOME SCHOOL THAT THEY ARE ZONED FOR.
