Anti-Bullying Rally on behalf of National Bullying Prevention Month

Every October, schools and organizations across the country join STOMP Out Bullying™ in observing National Bullying Prevention Month. The goal: encourage communities to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of bullying on all children of all ages.

On Tuesday, October 20th, from 5:30-7:30 pm, the Asheville City Schools' Student Services Department will host an Anti-Bullying Rally at Pack Square Park (121 College Street).

Partners for this event include Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Advisory Committee, Kat Williams, Officer Germain Weaver, City of Asheville, Department of Justice, Our Voice, Stop the Violence Coalition, Asheville Parks & Recreation, Changing Together, Sound Service, Office of the Sherriff, and Asheville Police Department.  Students are encouraged to sign an "Anti-Bullying Pledge," which will be sent home in backpacks the day before the rally.
