Asheville City Schools will transition all students in K-5 to return on Plan A beginning on April 12th
As you may know, Senate Bill 220 was signed into law yesterday requiring that students in Grades K-5 return in-person under Plan A. Asheville City Schools will transition all students in K-5 to return on Plan A beginning on April 12th. This means that K-5 students who are currently attending school in-person on alternating weeks will begin attending school in-person EVERY week on April 12th.
Students in grades K-5 who return in-person will continue to report to school Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 1:30pm. Fridays will continue to be asynchronous learning days. Teachers will utilize the time Friday for checking in with small groups and individual students, instructional planning, and collaborative work.
If you would like to make a change to a student’s in-person or fully-remote status, please complete this survey by 12pm on Wednesday, March 17th.
At this time, students in Grades 6-12 will proceed under Plan B as has been previously communicated. If there are changes to the plan for students in grades 6-12, additional information will be shared next week.
If you do not wish to change your student's in-person or remote status you do NOT need to complete the form.
